It initiates his activities in February of 1985 making his debut the 17 of May of the same one Acts in diverse theaters, cultural institutions, clubs, schools etc., in neighbouring localities and cities of the rear area.

After a year of its first performance it makes a concert the 20 of June of 1986 in the Rome Theater. Interested in that concert authorities of National Radio, it is that they spread in form completes the repertoire that that day I offer to the orchestra in the program Walking Tangos that Mr. Mario Keegan directs, same recording taken in alive spread by other transmitters.

During year 1985 “Riachuelo offered its spectacle to the Sur” with book of Horacio Branches. in 1986 it presents/displays a new spectacle called "One hundred Years of Tango" that narrates through the word of actor David Tonelli, the history of the tango from his beginnings, by the end of the century to the present time.

The orchestra counts on an ample repertoire of subjects in which diverse times are reflected: the beginning with violin, flute and guitar and later the incorporation of bandoneón, that although is of German origin, took root so much in our music until identifying itself definitively with the Argentine tango. Violin and piano a tribute to two pioneers of our citizen music, the brothers offers Francisco and Julio De Caro. Advancing in the time one goes to a formation of classic orchestra of the years in which the dance of this I generate was the height of the time. Following the trajectory of the tango it is arrived at the years in which reincorporates the restlessness youth to flute with the aggregate of the electrical guitar. Sometimes also usually it is listened to subjects interpreted by the classic quartet of arcs (Two violins, a viola and violoncelo) also with the participation in this group of flute and a guitar.

And arriving at the present time, they thus appear in scene the members of the orchestra, interpreting some modern subjects like also some classic ones but with orchestrations that enrich them they update.

And since then the City of Avellaneda counts on an Orchestra of Tango that represents it in each performance that the same one makes. It was begun doing it in Cultural Institutions, Clubs, Societies of public good, etc. of that city soon to be developing his activity in different places from the Capital Federal and Great Buenos Aires, extending later towards the rear area.

When being fulfilled a year of their debut, directors of National Radio, represented by Mr. Mario Kigan, are interested in the diffusion of the orchestra, for it they take the live recording that was made in the Rome Theater and same was transmitted in hearing Walking Tangos by that transmitter. In gratefulness the Mele Teacher composes a tango that takes that name (Walking Tango). That recording also is spread in other transmitters.

The Orchestra acts in important theaters of Buenos Aires, like being, National Theater Cervantes, diverse Rooms of the Cultural Center San Martín, the House of the Theater, the House of the Tango, the Podesta theater of the city of the Silver, the theater Payro de Banfield, the Municipal Theater of the City of Gral. Belgrano, Channel 2 of Television, Complex the Seat, etc.

The Municipality of the city of Adrogué awards to the orchestra giving to him a Gardel de Oro, Circulo de Periodistas of the South zone and the Academy of the Tango, also gives to distinctions to the director and integrates of the orchestra.

When being fulfilled the Decimo anniversary of the creation of the orchestra the Municipality of Avellaneda organizes a Festival in its Rome theater where they are made present to adhere to this celebration, outstanding figures of means, among them: Carlos Garcia, Raul Garello, Luis Stazo, Jose Libertella, Eladia Blazquez, Nestor Fabian, etc.
